A Hidden Gem on Artsakh Street in Glendale, CA.

I recently visited a charming café on Artsakh Street in Glendale -“Urartu Coffee”-, and I left truly inspired. What struck me most wasn’t just the coffee or the cozy atmosphere—it was the café’s deep commitment to art and community.

Inside, they have dedicated not one but two full walls to local artists’ work s and another wall entirely for children’s art. It’s a space where creativity of all ages is welcomed and celebrated. The walls tell stories of imagination, passion, and expression, making the café feel like more than just a place to sit and sip—it’s a gallery, a gathering place, and a cultural heartbeat for the neighborhood.

I was honored to be asked to bring one of my own pieces to hang there. What touched me most was seeing how the vision of one enthusiastic individual is helping expand the love and life of art in the city.
