A Hidden Gem on Artsakh Street in Glendale, CA.

Updated: Sep 6

I recently visited a charming café on Artsakh Street in Glendale -“Urartu Coffee”-, and I left truly inspired. What struck me most wasn’t just the coffee or the cozy atmosphere—it was the café’s deep commitment to art and community.

Inside, they have dedicated not one but two full walls to local artists’ work s and another wall entirely for children’s art. It’s a space where creativity of all ages is welcomed and celebrated. The walls tell stories of imagination, passion, and expression, making the café feel like more than just a place to sit and sip—it’s a gallery, a gathering place, and a cultural heartbeat for the neighborhood.

I was honored to be asked to bring one of my own pieces to hang there. What touched me most was seeing how the vision of one enthusiastic individual is helping expand the love and life of art in the city. Their effort creates opportunities for artists and inspires others to see art not as something distant, but as something alive and accessible in everyday spaces.

If you find yourself in Glendale, I encourage you to stop by “Urartu Coffee” on Artsakh Street—come for the coffee, stay for the art, and leave with a little extra inspiration.

Visiting this café on Artsakh Street reminded me how one person’s vision can create a space where art and community truly thrive. From the Adults artwork wall to the children’s wall, every inch radiates creativity and connection.

💬  I’d love to hear from you — have you visited this café? What was your impression, and how did the art make you feel? Please share your experience in the comments below.
